EduWW marks First Decade with Revolutionary LMS

a

We are celebrating a decade of EduWW! We grew with our students and their families from a humble start to the international community we are today. As we look back to see what we achieved, we’re delighted to announce the launch of our own, next-generation K-12 learning platform.

The new tool, a cutting-edge LMS, is the first designed by educators and students, specifically for K-12 students and educators, in online and classical schools.

How we started

A decade ago, the Florida Board of Education registered our school under code 4627. On this day that year, we enrolled our first student.

Initially, we only provided a certified US curriculum via an online platform we licensed from our partners.

From day one, the EduWW diploma has been recognized and accepted by colleges and universities in the US, Europe, and elsewhere.

At the end of 2019, we added tutoring to support our students. EduWW began growing into a fully-fledged K-12 online school. We organized the first group classes spontaneously, when a student told his teacher he’d “like to meet some other kids from the school.”

“It saddened me a bit, so I thought I’d invite him to join an individual class with a peer,” recalls the tutor, Tamara. “They continued together, which encouraged us to introduce group classes.”

As enrollment snowballed, we expanded our teaching staff and study and support options for our students and their families.

Where we are now

Today, we offer a far more varied support, including the Prime Program. It is a structured, scheduled online school with virtual classrooms and a teacher every workday, just like in a traditional school.

Whether in the Prime Program, individual, or group classes, studying alone or in our special program for young athletes, the students do the work from the comfort of their home, wherever it may be. And our students are all over the planet, living in 127 countries.

We also organized real-life meetings for our students and tutors via meet-and-greets, summer and winter camps.

Our mission in two words: Sapere Aude!

But we wanted to do more. We recognized the importance and potential of online education. With that, we understood the potential of digitalized education overall.

Online education enables millions of kids—and adults—to acquire a top-notch education that may otherwise be out of their reach. We made it our mission to provide education everywhere it’s wanted.

Our motto is Sapere Aude – Dare to Know. It was coined by the Roman Poet Horace. Centuries later, it became the symbol of the Enlightenment, encouraging people to challenge conventional thought and seek knowledge and understanding, defying any odds. We already wrote about some of our goals, tools, and methods. Expect more, because now we’re making a promise.

The EduWW Learning Platform

Online education is changing even faster than we are—and we are fast. It is changing with technology, which evolves at breakneck speed.

We made it another mission to harness the technology and make education evolve faster while making it more manageable, attractive, approachable, flexible, and enjoyable.

For that, we designed our own LMS, which, for the first time, integrates all digitalized functions that schools and students use:

  • learning material, text and multimedia
  • all communication tools that are now scattered across various apps, including video, messaging, email and PA
  • secure databases
  • joint scheduling system
  • attendance and progress tracking
  • integrated AI, with functions limited to benefit learning
  • parent/observer accounts
  • chatbot
  • post-it notes, general and specific, e.g., linked to individual lessons or subjects, and much more.

Where we want to go, with you

We firmly believe in the future of online education. But we understand that it can get there faster if all stakeholders in education push together: providers, teachers, lawmakers, regulators, certifiers, students and their parents.

On our part, we must continue upgrading, honing and polishing what we offer. The regulators must do more and act faster to ensure that online schools meet the criteria and certify those that do.

All that will build confidence in online schooling. And the advance of technology will inevitably spill over onto classical education, too.

But now, join our celebration, give us a like and a follow! Maybe even a comment or a question.

At EduWW, we believe in the opportunity for every child to access the best education. This does not only concern children in families facing obstacles because of distance, finances, politics or disabilities.

We also want the children facing the exceptional demands of a budding athletic career to remain on their academic path. That also applies to families that move frequently because a parent is a professional athlete.

Children-athletes and children of professional athletes already benefit from EduWW partnerships with sports organizations and athletic associations.

Our learning platform, with a US K12 curriculum, enables unlimited flexibility for children with a demanding training schedule and educational stability for those who move with their parents.

We are happy to announce a partnership with the EuroLeague Players Association (ELPA). Our mutual goal is to ensure that the children of basketball professionals can remain in the same school even as their families move.

“Players are often on the move, which can make it difficult for their children to stay in one school or education system,” said ELPA Managing Director Bostjan Nachbar, a former Slovenian, European, and NBA professional.

“This partnership is about providing peace of mind to our members, who know that their children can access a world-class, accredited education wherever they are,” he said.

“We’re excited to work with ELPA to ensure that children of professional athletes have uninterrupted access to education,” said Education World Wide CEO Stefan Dimic. “Mobility shouldn’t be an obstacle to a child’s learning.”
