I began my journey in education in 2011 at the Centro Colombo Americano in Bogotá, Colombia, a U.S.-affiliated language center recognized for its academic standards and cross-cultural programs.

Those early years exposed me to a range of methodologies, from communicative and immersive instruction to project and task-based learning, all of which continue to guide my approach today. I learned that students thrive when they take ownership of their learning, and that helping them “learn how to learn” is one of the most valuable lessons we can offer.

After several formative years in Colombia, I moved to Hangzhou, China, where I spent four years teaching English and Spanish at the Shanghai Hangzhou World Foreign Language School, an IB international school.

There, I had the opportunity to design and implement a complete Spanish curriculum that was later adopted across the district. Working in such a multicultural and multilingual environment deepened my understanding of international education and how students from different backgrounds engage with languages and ideas.

For the past five years, I have been part of EduWW, where I have held several roles including Language and Literature teacher, tutor, and college counselor for senior students. My current work focuses on helping learners define their academic goals, strengthen their writing and research skills, and navigate the path toward university admissions in both Europe and the United States.

Alongside my school work, I have collaborated with international institutions such as ProCredit Bank, training professionals from Latin America and Europe in English, Spanish, and public speaking.

What I find most rewarding about this profession is seeing students discover their potential. Their growth and enthusiasm re-energize me every day, reminding me why I chose this path. I strive to create a classroom environment built on positive rapport, mutual respect, and responsibility, a space where learning feels both personal and purposeful.
