He’s 14 and already a veteran car racer. And he’s the new VR46: Meet our student Valentino Ricciardi! He started racing karts when he was only seven. He now competes in the prestigious Formula Delta, a series in the Brazilian state of São Paulo.
Valentino and his rivals drive identical cars, reaching a top speed of around 225 km/h, or 140 mph. “The cars are all the same, only the tire pressure, brake balance, and wings are adjustable,” says our student.
Competing at that level is pro-level demanding, and Valentino nurtures ambitions that will require even more. But so is the education he wants. He manages both commitments because he attends the Sport World School, the specialized department of Education World Wide designed exclusively for young athletes, which allows him to create his own schedule. “My training routine is extensive. I have physical and mental training sessions in three different gyms, trips, the racing simulator, kart training, and car training. And then, there’s school,” he says.
“All of this is possible with the proposal and flexibility of the Sport World School, where I’m doing very well. This school is amazing because during the race weeks, I can dedicate myself and focus 100 percent, and a few days later, I can make up for the classes I missed.”
In his words, “it is very helpful, and I recommend it” to other students pursuing extracurricular activities at a high level.
Valentino was born to be a racer. He was named after the legendary motorcycling champion Valentino Rossi. They have the same initials, and our Valentino adopted the “Doctor’s” #46.
“I adopted some of his symbols, like the sun and moon on my helmet, the number, and shared his desire to win.” By the way, the two Valentinos both celebrate birthdays on February 16.
En route to his goals, Valentino has his sights set on full professional racing, including the Stock Car Pro Series Brazil, the World Endurance Championship, the US Nascar, the World Rally Championship, and other top-tier competitions.
We have no doubt — he’ll turn that dream into reality and become a world champion in car racing.
At Education World Wide and Sport World School, we take pride in having Valentino as our student. And we’re sure #46 will continue to shine academically and on the racetrack.
