What to Do With the Extra Free Time at Home?

Students of all ages around the globe have to spend the majority of their time at home, because of the new health crisis. Indoor and outdoor activities and events are canceled or postponed indefinitely. That left you with a significant amount of time that you have to spend in the house. We know you think that is misfortune or disaster, but it doesn’t have to be. Spending time at home can have its advantages. For example, as an online student, you can finalize your grade earlier. Besides that, there are a lot of other things you can do.

Here at EduWW we would like to raise the good spirits and optimism among our students. That is why we are going to give you advice on how to spend this extra free time that you have while you are at home.

Finish Your Grade Earlier

Contrary to the regular school students, those of you who attend online school don’t lose a lot. As a matter of fact, you are even in a better position. How? You do school in your room, you don’t have to go anywhere. Your entire learning materials are online, and you can access them anytime you want. And here is the “even better” part. As a certified online school, EduWW doesn’t follow the regular school calendar. Our students shape their school year the way it suits them best. That means you can finalize the grade earlier. It doesn’t have to be at the beginning of summer.

If all your other activities are canceled, use that extra free time to focus on online school. If you are behind with lessons, this is the perfect time to catch up. Or you can speed up and finalize the entire grade in the next couple of months. Here’s why that’s good. Once the world is out of quarantine, you can get back to your usual activities without worrying about school.

Additional Program for High School Students

Those of you who are in the final year of our online high school are probably thinking about college. We assume that you already know that our certified diploma is accepted worldwide, and you can apply to the majority of universities and colleges in your country or anywhere in the world.

To boost your chances of getting into the college of your choice, in addition, you can take Advanced Placement classes. Or, if you are interested in the business, Level 3 course is a perfect choice. EduWW offers both. Feel free to explore our Progression to College page,  and to write to us if you have any questions.

This goes for all our students, don’t forget that EduWW teachers are always there to assist you, especially now when you spend most of your time at home. They are available to you via the messaging system within the platform, or you can request one on one teaching support.

Develop New Hobbies

You can finally start doing that one thing you always wanted to, but you never had the time. Maybe you wanted to start painting, or write poetry? Have you thought about running your own YouTube channel? Maybe arts and crafts are more suitable for you? Be brave and take the first steps. In fact, feel free to share that with us, we would be glad to see your talents. As your online school, we are your number one fan.

Exercise at Home

Spending a lot of time in the house can make you lazy, make sure that you are doing a short series of stretching exercises in the morning and evening. It’s good for your health and mood. For those of you who didn’t know, EduWW has PE as an elective subject. Unites have short videos that suggest some basic exercises that you can practice even at home. If you are interested, you can always write to us and will be glad to unlock that elective (for free, of course).

Have Fun at Home

You finally have enough time to read all those books you ever wanted or binge-watch your favorite Netflix show. You can play video games as much as you like, too. Keeping yourself entertained is of crucial importance, especially now when this new health situation has drastically changed your usual schedule. Find a way to have fun.

Chat With Your Friends

Use social networks to connect and chat with your friends. Staying socialized even in the quarantine is of great importance. Plus, nobody can tell you that you spend way too much time on our phone. All jokes aside, talk with your friends, keep each other entertained. You can even organize some sort of challenge, for example, who crafted something interesting, or who read the most books, who passed more levels on a video game. More time at home gives you freedom to be more creative.

Stay Safe

In conclusion, staying home and spending a lot of time inside doesn’t have to be bad. Just use that extra time to do something fun and useful. For example, finish your online school earlier or develop new hobbies. Therefore, give your creativity a go these days. Stay safe, and have fun.
