Combined Levels 4 and 5 Diplomas in Business Management at Online Business Academy is an excellent opportunity of getting two courses at a special price. Level 4 Diploma is equal to the first year of a BA University diploma, while Level 5 Diploma is equivalent to the second year. Although we offer these programs as separate qualifications, you can choose a combined program that you will get at a lower price.

The combination of these qualifications can quickly track you to the final year of an associated Undergraduate BA in Business and Management, which you can take at a university on campus or via online learning. The program consists of 20 modules (10 at each Level) and carries 240 credits (120 for each Level). After finalizing these two levels, a student can apply for an exemption from the second year of a university degree course.

Each module consists of approximately 40 guided learning hours of material with an additional 30-50 hours of optional learning material. While studying this program, students will have access to additional materials to help in the completion of their graduate. The program is entirely individual and self-paced, which means that students learn on their own.

To enroll in a Level 5 course, you must be at least 19 years old and have a full secondary education and entry criteria equal to Level 4 qualification.

These qualifications provide a flexible route for learners who have already achieved management qualifications at a lower level. It is also great for learners who do not have business or management qualifications but may have qualifications in other areas and/or prior management experience.

Successful completion of the full Level 5 Diploma in Management and final year of an accredited Undergraduate Degree program gives students the right credentials to apply for a job in marketing, accounting, human resources, management, or business consultancy.

This qualification develops your understanding of management and to develop key management skills. You may have already achieved management qualifications at a lower level, or you may not have management qualifications. You may have already gained qualifications in other areas and/or prior relevant experience in the workplace. This qualification is particularly relevant if you are seeking to progress to higher education to take a BA degree course in an area of management or you wish to progress your career in a management role.

The primary purpose of the qualification is to support progression to Level 6 learning. However, the course will help you gain knowledge and understanding of management concepts and develop the key skills required to work in a management role in any sector. If you are newly appointed to a first management position, the qualification will support you to develop in your role. If you are seeking a first management role, it will provide you with a comprehensive introduction to management that will enable you to apply for a management position with confidence. Through your selection of optional units, you can develop the particular knowledge and understanding that are relevant to your current responsibilities or your planned career development.

The Level 5 Extended Diploma in Management has ten modules and eight written assignments at each level. Once you complete the modules, you’ll get access to the assignments. The assignments are approximately 3000-5000 words each.

Assessment at Online Business Academy is a very straightforward process:


  • After finalizing an online module, you will have to complete an online assessment. This assessment contains 30 multiple-choice questions. You will have one hour to complete these questions, which are answered in sets of five so you will have plenty of time to review and edit your answers. After an hour, the test will automatically time out.
  • You will get the results immediately after you complete the test. If you didn’t pass, you will receive a notification of a “refer,” and you’ll have to retake a module assessment. You can complete these modules at your own pace, as there is no deadline to complete the course.
  • Once you complete online modules, you will take the final written assignments that test your knowledge and understanding of the modules.

Through this qualification, you gain broad knowledge, understanding, and skills relating to management across sectors, which will enable you to progress to Level 6 Diploma in Management.


The Level 5 Diploma in Management is equivalent in level to the second year of a bachelor’s degree and covers the same broad areas of management knowledge, understanding, and skills. It, therefore, provides a natural progression route to a management BA degree program in a higher education institution, where you should be able to claim exemptions for some of the units completed.

You should take the Level 5 Diploma if you:

  • are relatively new to management or are seeking an entry role in the management
  • have already achieved Level 4 qualifications, or completed training at this level in a related area to management, or have prior, relevant experience
  • want to develop a comprehensive set of knowledge, understanding, and skills relating to the management
  • have sufficient time to achieve a qualification of 120 credits
  • are planning to embark on a Management degree course and are looking for a qualification which will be regarded as equivalent to the second year and therefore ‘count towards’ your degree.

The fee for enrolling onto the Level 4 and Level 5 courses together is 3,000.00 €. Alternatively, students can enroll onto a single level (level 4 or 5) for 2,500.00€ each.

Students are required to pay an enrollment fee of 700 € in advance, while the rest of the tuition fee 2,300.00€ can be paid in up to 10 installments, which is 230€ monthly.

The course is Accredited by the ATHE and approved and regulated by OFQUAL.
