Online High School Courses

Online high school courses are divided into core and elective subjects. Core subjects are mandatory courses that a student must take to meet graduation requirements. Core subject areas are English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies.

Electives help students discover and explore personal interests and allow them to study areas outside the core subjects’ scope. A student can choose electives that they want to follow in each grade. These subjects also participate in fulfilling graduation requirements.

EduWW uses an accredited American curriculum that ensures academic excellence. Cognia and the NCAA also approve our online program. Aside from the standard online high school program, we offer AP courses, Honors courses, and vocational elective subjects.

Each high school year is divided into two semesters – A and B. A high school student follows at least six subjects (four core courses and two electives) during one semester.

Online High School Credit System

To graduate, our students must earn at least 22 credit points during their four years of schooling. Each core subject in our online high school is worth one credit point, while electives range from 0.5 to 1 credit point. Therefore, a student must earn at least six credit points per grade.

In cases when a student does not complete the entire high school with us, we recognize credits they achieved in the previous school. During the enrollment, the family must submit all transcripts from high school grades of the previous school.

How Does Online High School Works?

Our high school students learn on an online learning platform and get tutoring support through live online classes – group and individual. All classes are done in a real-life online session, with a tutor for each core subject. Classes are not mandatory, but we advise students to follow them. 

Online Learning Platform

We use an interactive online learning management system (LMS) containing all the necessary materials, resources, and assignments. Students can access the platform 24/7 and study independently, at their own pace. In addition, all students have their personal profiles on the platform, which contain all the data about their marks and achieved progress.

Our interactive platform guides the students through every step of their learning journey. Every lesson begins with an introduction page, which summarizes the lesson’s objectives and any prerequisites required to complete the task. The introduction page contains a list of keywords referenced in the lesson.

Online High School Classes

Group and individual classes are essential elements of the learning process in our school. We hold our group classes in small groups of 10 to 15 students per class. These classes are an excellent opportunity for students to socialize and meet their classmates worldwide. Group classes have a predetermined fixed schedule that suits different time zones. 

Individual classes are one-on-one sessions with the assigned tutor, and students can schedule them at their convenience. The most significant advantage of individual classes is that students receive focused support in the areas they find complicated or unclear.

How To Enroll in an Online High School?

Although EduWW is an American online high school, we are open to international students. The enrollments are always open, and you can apply and enroll at any time of the year. You will have ten months to complete the grade regardless of the day you start. The online school is flexible, and our program is self-paced and individual. Each student learns at their own tempo. That means a student can finish the grade faster or extend it if necessary.

What Documents Will Students Receive Upon Completion of Online High School?

A student receives an academic transcript after they complete the grade in online high school. Upon graduation, they also receive a high school diploma.

The academic transcript is a document containing a list of subjects a student followed in a particular grade, their progress, and their marks. This document proves that a student met the academic requirements for a specific grade and is eligible to be promoted to the next grade.

The school will email a digital copy of an academic transcript and send a hard copy to a student’s home address. If necessary, we can acquire an Apostille certificate alongside the transcript. Apostille certificate ensures the validity of the original document (in this case, it is the academic transcript) outside of the US borders. This certificate is issued by the State Authorities in the US. Note: The Apostille certificate is not covered with the tuition fee, it is charged additionally.
